Refacing is a great way to give your good condition kitchen a whole new look without the cost and inconvenience of all new cabinets
Most economical reface is a professional repaint of your existing cabinetry. Add some new hardware and you have a brand new look.
At the next level, all the old style doors can be replaced with new doors in an up-to-date style. This really transforms your existing kitchen.
At the upper end of refacing, along with new doors, some cabinets can be replaced or altered to accommodate a new appliance or a new range and hood for example.
A new island can also be added
Refacing can also be done in new stained wood instead of paint, using veneers and paneling to cover existing wood and adding all new doors. (Old doors cannot be re-stained, only painted)
Below are pictures showing the before and after of simple and more complex refacing.
